Universal Pictures Home Entertainment has announced the release dates for Max Steel on Blu-ray and Digital HD. The film will first be available digitally from services such as Amazon Video, Apple iTunes, Google Play and Vudu on on January 3, 2017. One week later, the Max Steel will hit stores on Blu-ray, DVD and On Demand on January 10, 2017.
On Blu-ray and Digital HD, Max Steel is presented in 1080p video at 2.40:1 widescreen aspect ratio. The soundtrack is provided in English DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1. On DVD, the film is presented in 480p at Anamorphic 2.40:1 widescreen aspect ratio, with a soundtrack in English Dolby Digital 5.1.
Four bonus featurettes on both disc formats include “Finding Max,” “Imagining Steel,” “Buildling the Suits,” and “Behind the Stunts.”
Max Steel stars Ben Winchell as 16-year-old Max McGrath who discovers his body can generate a mysterious energy. He meets a rebellious techno-organic alien named Steel and the two find themselves hunted.
