Great deals like this don’t come often, but Google is pushing its Play services by offering the vampire film Underworld (2003) in Digital HD for just .99 cents. The deal also comes in advance of the theatrical release of Underworld: Blood Wars, originally slated for 2016 but moved to a January 6th, 2017 release date.
Underworld is the first of five franchise films that star Kate Beckinsale as the conflicted werewolf hunter Selene, who is caught within a centuries-old war between Vampires and Lycans. In Underworld, Selene falls in love with a human who evolves into a hybrid creature with unknown powers.
Google’s Digital HD format streams in 1280×720 (720p) or 1920×1080 (1080p) depending on title and bandwidth speed. For this particular movie audio is only offered in Stereo, although more recent films include 5.1 surround sound.
Other Underworld-franchise films in Digital HD from Google Play are priced at $8.99 each. Purchases can be made in the Google Play store with a Credit Card, PayPal, or Google Play credit.
