The two-time Oscar-nominated motion picture Cast Away is just $4.99 today from iTunes. The deal comes from Fox Digital Entertainment and is normally priced $14.99 from the Apple service.
The two-hour movie in 1080p is a 6.16 GB download from iTunes, while the 720p file is 4.94 GB file. The purchase also includes iTunes Extras with a look at the making of the film and comments from director Robert Zemeckis and Tom Hanks. Audio is provided in 5.1 channel surround sound with closed captioning.
For those of you who don’t use iTunes, Cast Away is also on sale at Amazon and Google Play for $4.99 in HD. We don’t know how long it will stay at that price. Vudu is selling Cast Away for the normal price of $9.99 for HD or HDX.
