Creed will release to 4k Ultra HD on Tuesday, June 7th, and we’ve got the specs and details on the bonus content to be included. The film has already been released to conventional Blu-ray Disc and Digital HD, but for those who’ve purchased a 4k and UHD HD player the Ultra HD Blu-ray edition will bring another level of detail, contrast, and color to the home media release.
Creed on UHD BD will also include the new HDR specification for deeper color range and contrast, with 4k video presented in 2160p using the HEVC/H.265 compression standard.
English audio will be offered in DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 and Dolby Digital 5.1 — formats also available on the Blu-ray release.
The extra bonus material includes deleted scenes, as well as the featurettes “Know The Past, Own The Future” and “Becoming Adonis” — presented in Full HD (1080p) on the Blu-ray copy.
A Digital HD version of Creed will also be included with the combo edition, but we’re not sure whether or not it can be upgraded to Digital UHD. Warner Bros. seems to indicate in their press release it will be a completely separate transaction
Creed on Blu-ray special features in HD:
- Know The Past, Own The Future
- Becoming Adonis
- Deleted Scenes
