Best Buy has dropped the price of the least expensive Apple Watch to $249, a sale price that knocks $100 off the regular price of $349 (that had already been dropped to $449 from the initial launch price of $549).
The Apple Watch models at $249 include the Sport 38mm in Space Gray, Rose Gold, Silver or Gold aluminum case with various Sports Band colors. Apple Watches on Best Buy currently go up to $599 for the 42mm Stainless Steel Case with Milanese Loop.
The $249 Apple Watch features a Retina display with Force Touch, Heart rate sensor, accelerometer, and gyroscope, Wi-Fi (802.11b/g/n 2.4GHz), Bluetooth 4.0, and up to 18 hours of battery life.
Perhaps it’s the anticipation of the 2nd-gen Apple Watch expected early next year, or just an overstock of Apple Watches in Best Buy’s warehouse; either way $249 is a great price for the Apple wearable.
Best Buy says they have already sold twice as many wearables this year as they did last at this time.
By the way, Target is offering a $100 gift card with the purchase of an Apple Watch, so if you’re looking to do some holiday shopping at Target the sale price of the $349 model is just about the same.
