Panasonic has announced a lineup of value-priced 4K ‘Ultra HD’ TVs for the U.S. market that are almost half the price of their existing models. Starting at $799 for the 50″ class 50CX400U, the CX Series feature 3840 x 2160p resolution, 120Hz refresh rate (native in the 55″ and 65″ models), built-in Wi-Fi, and Smart TV integration with easy access to Netflix, YouTube, and other apps.
The CX Series is offered in either black or matte silver bezel finishes. The 50″ 50CX400U, however, is only available in black bezel.
See the chart below for more details about Panasonic’s new 4k Smart TVs. The “MSRP” is the list price Panasonic released in their press materials, while the “Price” is what the company is currently offering the TVs for their website (with inflated list prices, mind you).
Panasonic introduced their first consumer 4k TV models over a year ago, but at the time the least expensive model was a 58″ set for $3,799 (MSRP).
