CBS Interactive has updated the CBS app for Android devices, requiring Android Version 4.0 or higher to install. The update now lets users find favorite shows easier with a redesigned “shows” page. Preferred Live TV channels can also now be assigned when multiple local affiliates are available in a user’s area. And, the menu on tablets has been redesigned for improved usability.
The CBS app offers on-demand access to shows such as NCIS, The Big Bang Theory, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, and The Good Wife among other current series that run with ad interruptions, while classic TV series such as Star Trek, I Love Lucy, and CSI: Miami play ad-free.
Live TV streaming from select local CBS stations, personalized show lists, photo galleries, cast pages, and a primetime schedule are among other features of the app.
Shows on the CBS app stream in HD quality where bandwidth allows.
CBS app Version 2.6.0 is available to download free from the Google Play store.
