CenturyLink has launched their Prism TV services for residents and businesses in some areas of Seattle. The Prism service is an interactive television service delivered through CenturyLink’s high-speed fiber optic network, and offers an alternative to traditional cable and satellite services.
Seattle neighborhoods where Prism TV will first launch include West Seattle, Ballard, Beacon Hill, Central District, Capitol Hill, Mount Baker and Green Lake.
“CenturyLink is pleased to bring a new choice in video services to Seattle. Prism TV’s innovative technology is the perfect complement to our 1 gig services,” said Sue Anderson, CenturyLink vice president of operations for Washington.
CenturyLink starting building their fiber-enabled 1 gigabit broadband network in mid-2014 for residential and business customers in certain Seattle areas.
Prism TV services include a wireless set-top box, whole-home DVR, a mobile app for watching programming at home or on the go, an extensive video on demand library, and an app center for accessing social network sites.
