In addition to adding the new SHOWTIME streaming service this week, Roku has also added the popular Comedy Central app channel. The channel provides full episodes of shows such as “South Park”, “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart,” “Chappelle’s Show,” and “The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore”.
The service also provides access to stand-up comedy specials and series from artists such as Jim Gaffigan, Kevin Hart, and Amy Schumer.
To access all content on the Comedy Central channel on Roku users need to first sign in with the username and
password associated with a TV service provider. Comedy Central has partnered with most service providers including AT&T U-verse, Bright House, Cablevision Optimum, Comcast Xfinity, Cox, DirecTV, Time Warner Cable, and Verizon FiOS TV among others. (When signing-in you’ll be able to choose from a list.)
Once authenticated, Roku users get unlimited access to Comedy Central titles on-demand, and new episodes of shows the day after airing.
The Comedy Central streaming service is only available in the US.
