Jurassic World may have looked like a rehash of previous Jurassic Park-franchise movies, but that hasn’t stopped the film from passing the $1 billion at the worldwide box office. As of The-Numbers this morning, Jurassic World has made $398M US and $583M worldwide. The final numbers are not in for the weekend yet, so the film may have clearly surpassed the $1B mark, making it only the twenty-second film in history to gross that much at the box office. With an estimated budget of $150 million, Jurassic World was created in both 2D and 3D, making it available at IMAX 3D and RealD 3D theaters in addition to thousands of 2D cinemas worldwide. The film was executive-produced by Steven Spielberg, with Universal Pictures, Amblin Entertainment, and Legendary Pictures. Jurassic World, starring Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, was released to theaters in U.S. on June 12th, and internationally from June 10th through June 12th, 2015.
