Warner Home Video has revealed the release date for The Flash: The Complete First Season on Blu-ray Disc and DVD will be September 22, 2015. While episodes of the show in Digital SD/HD formats are already available from places like Amazon Instant Video and iTunes for $2.99 a pop (or $29.99 for the entire season in HD), the 4-Disc Blu-ray release will include extra bonus material such as production featurettes, audio commentary, deleted scenes, gag reel, and a redemption code for digital copies from UltraViolet (sorry folks this does not include an iTunes digital copy).
The Flash stars Grant Gustin as forensic scientist Barry Allen (a.k.a. The Flash) who is granted superhuman speed after a combination of chemicals and being struck by lightning transforms him. The show was produced by DC Entertainment, Warner Bros. Television, and Berlanti Productions.
The Flash: The Complete First Season carries a suggested retail price of $59.98 (DVD ) and $60.10 (Blu-ray).
