DirecTV Subscribers Get Free Showtime This Weekend

If you’re a DirecTV subscriber and want to check out what Showtime is playing, the network is offering a free preview this weekend starting Friday, May 1st and ending Sunday, May 3rd. During the free preview period (and no doubt strategic planning), DirecTV customers will be able to view the premiere episode of Penny Dreadful Season Two on Sunday at 10 p.m. ET/PT. (Although, anyone can watch the first episode free on Showtime.com, albeit edited from the broadcast version.) DirecTV subscribers will also be able to watch the second episode of the new Showtime original series HAPPYish at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT. On DirecTV, the Showtime can be found in HD on channels 545 through 557.
