Sony Pictures has released the first official teaser trailer for Spectre, the upcoming 24th film in the James Bond franchise. The one minute, thirty second trailer gives viewers a taste of the plot of Spectre, in which a cryptic message from Bond’s past sends him on a trail to uncover a sinister organization.
Spectre was directed by Sam Mendes (Skyfall, American Beauty), and produced by Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli. Production companies include Columbia Pictures and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer.
The film stars Daniel Craig as 007, along with Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw, Rory Kinnear, and Christoph Waltz. Bond girls in Spectre are played by Léa Seydoux Stephanie Sigman, and Monica Bellucci. Naomie Harris returns in Spectre as agent Eve Moneypenny.
Spectre will release to theaters in the US, including IMAX theaters, on November 6, 2015.
In December 2014, Sony acknowledged that an early version of the screenplay for Spectre was leaked during the attack upon Sony’s servers.
