Universal Pictures has announced the release dates for The Boy Next Door starring Jennifer Lopez. The Digital HD release will pre-date disc formats by two weeks, releasing on Tuesday, April 14th. The Blu-ray Disc, DVD, and On Demand rental options will follow on April 28th.
For multiple viewing options, Universal will release a Blu-ray Combo Pack (MSRP: $34.99) that includes high-definition copies of the film on both Blu-ray and in Digital HD from UltraViolet, as well as a standard-definition copy of the film on DVD.
The home media release of The Boy Next Door will also include behind-the-scenes material, deleted scenes, filmmaker commentary with Director Rob Cohen, and featurette “The Making of The Boy Next Door.” — exclusive to the Blu-ray combo.
The Blu-ray Disc release of The Boy Next Door is formatted in 1080p at 2:40:1 widescreen aspect ratio. English audio formats include DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 and DVS Dolby Digital 2.0. The DVD will include audio formats in Dolby Digital 5.1 and DVS DD 2.0.
The Boy Next Door has earned $35 million at the domestic box office, on an estimated budget of $4 million.
