The sci-fi thriller Extant is now streaming on Amazon Prime Instant Video, giving subscribers access to new episodes four days after they air on CBS. The series debuted on Amazon last weekend with the first episode “Re-Entry” that premiered on broadcast television July 9. Extant stars Halle Berry as astronaut Molly Woods who returns home from a one-year solo mission in outer space, only to find her experience could change the course of human history.
The next episode of Extant, titled “Extinct,” airs tonight at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on CBS. The episode should then be available to Prime Instant Video subscribers on Sunday, July 20.
U.K. Prime subscribers get a little bit better deal than those of us in the U.S., as members are able to stream new episodes of Extant the day after airing in the States. The series premiered in the U.K. on Amazon Prime Instant Video on July 10, one day after the U.S. premiere on CBS.
For those of you without a Prime subscription, you can catch the first episode of Extant, titled “Re-Entry,” on the CBS website at no charge.
