While most of these models have been shipping for just over a month now, LG has officially released pricing and availability of their new line of 4k Ultra HD TVs. The 2014 lineup includes seven models across three distinct series including the UB9800 series, UB9500 series, and UB8500 series. The prices of the new 4k TVs range from $1,499 for their 49-inch UB8500 model all the way up to $14,999 for the 84-inch class in the UB9800 series.
All of LGs new 4k TVs feature the company’s Tru-4K Engine Pro for upscaling normal HD content to 8 million pixels, H.265 (HEVC) decoding through internet, HDMI and USB sources, in-plane-switching (IPS), 3D support, and the Smart TV with webOS platform that provides an easy-to-use interface when you want to switch between streaming, live TV, and previously viewed content.
The new LG 4k TVs are also compatible with streaming 4k content from Netflix, and, qualifying models offer a 12-month subscription to the service if purchased by August 16.
LG’s new lineup of 4k TVs are available nationwide at electronics retailers including Best Buy, Frys, Amazon, and B&H Photo among other locations.
