NCAA Sports app update issued for Apple devices

Turner Sports has issued an update for the NCAA Sports app on Apple iOS devices. The new version (2.0.1) resolves an iPhone 4s force close issue as well as additional miscellaneous bug fixes. The app was recently updated on Feb. 20 (version 2.0.0) with a major redesign that includes a new layout and additional features. Today’s update may be just fixing some of those overlooked issues that came about from the last update.

What does the application do? The NCAA Sports app for iPhones, iPad, and iPod touch devices lets you pick your favorite schools to receive scoring alerts and other school-specific content. But perhaps most importantly, the app provides live video footage of over 65 NCAA championship events throughout the season.

The NCAA Sports app is available to download for free from the Apple iTunes store. The 16.7MB app requires iOS 7 or later, and is optimized for iPhone 5 devices.

At this time, there doesn’t appear to be an Android version of the app for phones and tablets.
