Warner Bros. has released a third trailer for the upcoming film 300: Rise of an Empire slated to hit theaters the second weekend in March. The extra long trailer (with a total run time of 2:32) features Eva Green (Casino Royale) starring as Artemisia — the ancient Greek character who in the story sides with the Persian king Xerxes at the time of the Greco-Persian wars.
The film also stars Lena Headey (Game of Thrones) as Queen Gorgo, as well as Rodrigo Santoro (Mulheres Apaixonadas) as Xerxes — both of whom starred in 300.
Zack Snyder and Kurt Johnstad also returned to write the screenplay for 300: Rise of an Empire, that gives credit to the graphic novel Xerxes still being worked on by artist Frank Miller.
300: Rise of an Empire opens to realD 3D, IMAX 3D, and 2D theaters nationwide on March 7, 2014.
