Vizio's push beyond just televisions has continued at CES 2013 with a new sound bar system that has a couple of things going for worth mentioning. The Vizio S4251W (list price $330) combines a sound bar with wireless rear speakers, which is great for want the home theater experience, but maybe not 22 feet of speaker wire. The system also comes with a slick remote control that features an LCD display.

Panasonic shows off protoype 20-inch 4K tablet

It's only in the concept stage, but still, Panasonic's 20-inch tablet has turned a ton of heads at CES 2013. The company's 4K tablet prototype boasts an amazing 3,840x2,560-pixel resolution and 230 pixels per inch on its IPS LED-backlit LCD display. Clocking in at 5 pounds, the monster tablet is fueled by an Intel Core i5-3427U processor, Nvidia GeForce graphics, 4GB of RAM, and a 128GB SSD. A high precision digital pen is also part of the package, and Panasonic says that pen, with a resolution as high as the panel itself, enables natural handwriting on the massive 20-inch screen.

Samsung unveils 85″ 4K TV

Forget the bedroom, the one place where size truly matters is at CES 2013. After LG and Sony grabbed headlines with their new 84″ 4K TVs, wouldn't you know it, Samsung has just upped the ante by an inch. At a massive 85 inches, Sammy's UN85S9 now owns the title of world’s largest very large Ultra High-Definition TV. UPDATE: Westinghouse Captures Size Title. This diva of a display also sets itself apart from the pack with its unique floor-standing artist's easel frame which keeps the huge screen suspended in air while also holding a 120-watt 2.2 speaker system. The UN85S9 becomes available in March. No word on a price yet.
