Panasonic stays true to plasma, pegs TC-PZT60 series as flagship

The hype machine at CES 2013 ran heavily on 4K and OLED fuel, but if you think Panasonic is breaking up with their sweetheart plasma, think again. The electronics giant announced five new series of plasma TVs, from 42 inches all the way up to 65. The TC-PZT60 series (65″ and 60″) represents the flagship line, boasting “Beyond the Reference” picture quality in an all-new panel that contains the thinnest gas layer yet. Panasonic also lists a newly developed red phosphor, THX certification for both 2D and 3D, and improved 3D (active shutter glasses) performance. The ZT60 series comes with advanced features for connectivity including My Home Screen,  a personalization function that allows each user to create their own personal home screen, giving them quick access to their favorite content.
