Hulu has launched a new app to support Nintendo DS game systems including the Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo 3DS XL and Nintendo 2DS. The app lets owners stream current-season TV shows, movies, clips and commercial-free kids content. (Although, if you’re already a Hulu Plus subscriber, you probably know ads are not entirely removed from other titles with a premium subscription.) Hit shows for kids include Spongebob Squarepants, Veggietales, Fraggle Rock, and titles from from PBS and Lionsgate Kids. The app works with Wii U and Wii consoles, allowing users to continue to watching a program that was started at home somewhere else on a Nintendo 3DS or 2DS. The Hulu Plus app can be downloaded from the Nintendo eShop, and premium subscriptions cost $7.99 per month. Users will need a consistent wireless internet stream to watch Hulu Plus on a Nintendo DS system. And, Hulu is offering a free 1-week trial of Hulu Plus for new subscribers.
