Marvel has released a new clip from the upcoming film Thor: The Dark World. The clip features the character Malekith (played by Christopher Eccleston) who is set on plunging the universe into darkness. According to the production crew, it took six hours to apply the make up for Malekith’s look., and another 45 minutes for the costume. The character Malekith first appears in Thor comic books #344-349 dated June-November, 1984.
Thor: The Dark World also stars Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Natalie Portman as Jane Foster, and Tom Hiddleston as Loki. The film is slated to hit theaters on November 8, 2013.
