Starting today DirecTV is giving high-definition TV subscribers a preview of the HD Extra Pack, the add-on channel package that includes nine networks such Crime and Investigation, Hallmark Movie Channel, MGM HD, and Sony Movie Channel. Also included in the package is Viacom’s music channel Palladia, that broadcasts music videos, concerts and other music-related programming.
Movie titles playing during the preview include The Quick and The Dead on Sony Movie Channel HD (Ch. 568), The Incredible Bionic Man on Smithsonian Channel HD (Ch. 570), Signs on HDNet Movies (Ch. 566), and the classic James Bond film Man with the Golden Gun on Universal HD (Ch. 569).
DirecTV’s HD Extra Pack normally costs an extra $4.99 per month on top of your selected service package. The preview runs for one week, ending on next Thursday, Oct. 10.
