AT&T has added beIN SPORT and beIN SPORT en Espanol to the U-verse TV channel lineup, providing sports coverage in both English and Spanish languages. beIN SPORT focuses on international soccer more than any other sport, broadcasting matches from La Liga (the top professional Spanish soccer league), Serie A (the Italian League), Ligue 1 (France’s top pro league), and World Cup Qualifiers.
beIN SPORT can be found in English U-verse TV Channels 1662 and 3320 (HD), while beIN SPORT en Espanol can be found on channels 1663 and 3319 (HD). [Note: We’re checking on why the networks are listed in two channel slots.]
“This is a definite win for our AT&T U-verse TV customers. They will now have the opportunity to see this exclusive coverage coming to them from some of the most exciting international stadiums and venues in the world,” said Aaron Slator, president, content and advertising, AT&T.
“AT&T U-verse TV customers are passionate. And our two networks will offer them more soccer and top flight international competition than any other channel,” said Yousef Al-Obaidly, managing director of beIN SPORT.
Other international sports you’ll find on beIN SPORT include tennis, Superbike World Championship (SBK), European cycling, rugby, golf and volleyball.
beIN SPORT and beIN SPORT en Espanol first launched in English and Spanish in the US in August, 2012. The channel can also be found on DirecTV, Dish, Verizon FiOS, and certain cable TV networks. The network is jointly owned and operated by Qatari Sports Investments.
