Amazon’s subscription video service LOVEFiLM has struck a deal with Viacom International Media Networks to add hundreds of comedy, reality, and children’s TV shows to the streaming library. MTV, Nickelodeon, Nick Jr. and Comedy Central are among the networks included in the deal. Subscribers will now be able to stream Viacom-owned reality TV shows such as The Hills, Teen Mom, Punk’d, Jersey Shore, and Geordie Shore (the British spin-off of Jersey Shore).
Dora The Explorer, Blue’s Clues, SpongeBob SquarePants, and Go Diego Go! are among the children’s brands now available to stream online from the LOVEFiLM website.
“These new additions to our already extensive selection of entertainment will offer our members – kids and adults alike – more variety than ever before,” said Chris Bird, Director of Content Strategy, LOVEFiLM.
David Lynn, Executive Vice President and Managing Director of VIMN UK added, “This partnership will create a fantastic gateway through which fans can view their favourite VIMN shows.”
LOVEFiLM, operating in Germany and the UK, claims 2 million active members. This week, the company’s Facebook page reached a milestone 100,000 ‘Likes.’
