This year’s 2013 MTV Video Music Awards will be broadcast tonight, Aug. 25 at 9 p.m. Eastern from Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. You also may not want to miss the VMA pre-show starting at 8:00 p.m. ET. The awards show will be broadcast on TV and streaming live online. MTV.com is already streaming live camera feeds all day, and will begin red carpet coverage at 6pm ET. The VMA pre-show coverage, also available to stream online, will start at 8pm ET. [Update: MTV is streaming the entire show on demand from their website.]
On the bill tonight, Ariana Grande and Austin Mahone will perform in the pre-show. Lady Gaga is scheduled to officially open the show with a performance of “Applause.” And, you can look forward to appearances by top artists including Bruno Mars, Katy Perry, Kanye West, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Miley Cyrus, and Robin Thicke.
Of special note, Justin Timberlake will appear as honoree of this year’s Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.
And, in the latest announcement Drake will perform his VMA-nominated single ‘Started From The Bottom’
MTV2 will also be simultaneously broadcasting the 2013 VMA Awards, but instead of showing the pre-show at 8:00 p.m. will start at 9:00 p.m. with the main show.
