Who was the superior Enterprise captain, William Shatner or Patrick Stewart? It’s a question that’s almost older than Larry King, and one that can (possibly) be answered September 10 when Paramount releases Star Trek: Stardate Collection, a massive 12-disc Blu-ray set. Amazon currently has it up for pre-order at $125.
Combining the previously released movies from Star Trek: Original Motion Picture Collection and the Star Trek: The Next Generation Motion Picture Collection into one big, bold package, this set will feature 10 films with 1080p video and Dolby TrueHD 5.1 or 7.1 soundtracks. It appears all of the bonus features will be the same as the ones currently found on the aforementioned boxed sets.
The films included:
- Star Trek: The Motion Picture
- Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan
- Star Trek III: The Search for Spock
- Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home
- Star Trek V: The Final Frontier
- Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country
- Star Trek: Generations
- Star Trek: First Contact
- Star Trek: Insurrection
- Star Trek: Nemesis
