This week Amazon updated the Apple iOS version of the Amazon Instant Video app for iPhones, iPads, and iPod touches. The app enhancements mainly affect interface design, so you won’t find any major changes in functionality. The new version, 1.4.3, adds a dropdown menu on the homescreen which lets you jump quicker to titles. Additional thumb carousels with personalized selections, and a new navigation bar on the browse screens lets you switch between different TV show and movie collections. The app requires iOS 5.0 or higher, and is optimized for iPhone 5.
The Android Version of the Instant Video app was last updated June 17, 2013 and requires Android 3.2 or higher.
The Amazon Instant Video app currently requires a WiFi connection, as 3G and 4G connections are not yet supported.
