Universal’s ‘Riddick’ trailer released

Universal Pictures has released a trailer for the sci-fi action film Riddick. It’s a been a while since we’ve seen Vin Diesel in a ‘Riddick’ film. And although Vin has popped up in several franchise video games as the voice of Riddick, a follow to The Chronicles of Riddick (2004) has been long overdue. From the trailer, Riddick looks like the same story: bounty hunters coming after Riddick with all they’ve got; Riddick in chains; and alien predators only Riddick can elude. But that won’t stop Riddick fans from hitting theaters when the film is slated to release on September 6, 2013 (including IMAX theaters). You might not write that date in stone though, as the Universal trailer indicates “Coming Soon” in the closing slate. Riddick stars Vin Diesel, Karl Urban returns as Vaako, and Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica) is introduced as Dahl.
