Sony has released this new video explaining how the PlayStation Dualshock 4 controller can track a user’s position in the room, among other new added features. The easiest enhancement to notice is the blue light bar on the front of the controller, just above the USB port, which relays the position of the controller (and user) to the console. The Dualshock 4 can be tracked even with multiple controllers being used in the same room. And, split-screen multiplay will also automatically adjust to where a user is positioned.
Sony has also added multi-touchpad for game control, as well as a built-in speaker directly on the PS4 controller — opening up new possibilities for audio environments. And, a new share button on the controller will let you quickly share gameplay or screenshots with friends.
