Skyfall was put up for pre-order around Thanksgiving last year, but an official release date and details of the Blu-ray Disc hadn’t been revealed yet. Now, MGM and Twentieth Century Fox have announced the street date for Skyfall on Blu-ray & DVD will be Feb. 12, 2013. That’s one month earlier than we expected! MGM also announced Skyfall will be available digitally one week earlier, starting Feb. 5, from online distributors such as Amazon, CinemaNow, iTunes, PlayStation, VUDU and Xbox Live.
Extra features on the BD include the multi-chaptered bonus “Shooting Bond,” “Skyfall Premiere,” and commentaries from director Sam Mendes, producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, and production designer Dennis Gassner. The theatrical trailer of Skyfall is also included on the disc.
The Skyfall edition pictured on right in box sleeve comes with a Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital Copy. Video on the BD is formatted in 1080p, with soundtrack provided in DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1. You can pre-order now for $24.99 and get $15 off the MSRP of $39.99. Check out the special features list below.
