We’ve had the A-listers (Snow White, Pinocchio, The Lion King) and now Disney is giving the high def treatment to a pair of films (well, technically four movies) further back in its catalog. Two two-film collections have been given March 12 release dates: Mulan/Mulan II and The Hunchback of Notre Dame/The Hunchback of Notre Dame II. Both will be Blu-ray/DVD combo packs. Mulan (1998) tells the tale of a young Chinese girl who disguises herself as a man to help her family and her country. And of course The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1996) is based on the classic novel by Victor Hugo, dealing with the grotesque and lonely Quasimodo. No word yet on the specs or bonus features, but the $39.99 suggested list prices for both of these releases have already been slashed on Amazon.
