As of this writing, Marvel’s The Avengers – 3D four-disc Blu-ray set is just $19.99 at Amazon, and $19.99 at Target as well. This dramatic price drop (the pre-order price was around $30 for weeks) for a movie that was just released on video is not only an exciting proposition for consumers, but it also involves a choice. Target’s version actually comes with a bonus disc containing a full length (98 minutes) documentary about the building of the on-screen Marvel universe, whereas Amazon’s does not. If you care more about packaging however, you might want to choose Amazon, as it appears they are selling the version with the lenticular slipcover, while Target’s version is of the more basic variety. Meanwhile, Walmart has it for $24.96, and Best Buy is at $29.99. Of course, you can try price matching at both stores. If you’re the patient type, and the type with Amazon Prime, you can hold out for the superhero blockbuster to arrive on streaming. Otherwise, will these prices stay so low? It’s doubtful.
