Marvel/Disney Video will release a monster six-movie Blu-ray Disc collection titled Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase One – Avengers Assembled. The ten-disc limited edition set will contain Marvel’s latest film The Avengers as well as previous single-hero-focused films such as Captain America: The First Avenger, Thor, and Iron Man (see all titles below). The disc collection also contains three of the films on Blu-ray 3D (Marvel’s The Avengers, Captain America: The First Avenger, and Thor), along with a Bonus Disc containing “The Phase One Archives.” ‘Marvel Cinematic Universe’ comes in collectible packaging with exclusive memorabilia from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. No release date has been set for the limited edition, but MSRPs have. ‘Marvel Cinematic Universe’ weighs in at a hefty $219, but Amazon is taking pre-orders for $139 (a savings of $79).
