How about this for marketing a Blu-ray/DVD release? Paramount Home Media is offering a chance for one person to win $10,000 dollars in cash including a copy of Mission: Impossible—Ghost Protocol on Blu-ray/DVD. The hook is that the $10k would come in handy for anyone owing taxes on April 17 (although if you owe $10k to the feds and don’t have it ready, you best be filing that extension soon). To enter the sweepstakes you have to visit http://www.MI4TaxDaySweeps.com/ from March 27th through April 24, 2012. The entry form asks you for your name, email address, state & zipcode, and birthday. You can also “Tweet” the contest to receive an additional entry, and go back once a day to tweet and “increase your odds” of winning (guess Paramount is short on in-house “tweeters”). The cool thing about the contest is that there’s no requirement to purchase the Blu-ray or DVD to be eligible. Mission: Impossible—Ghost Protocol is currently available for pre-order and will hit shelves on Tuesday, April 17.
