‘Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn’ sells over 3 million copies

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 sold an estimated 3.2 million copies on its first weekend, that according to the film’s production company Summit Entertainment (LIONSGATE). ‘Breaking Dawn’s’ Blu-ray and DVD sales numbers surpassed those of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse by approximately 18%. Walmart and Target stores were open at midnight for the release of the title, each store offering their own exclusive disc editions. In digital and On Demand formats ‘Breaking Dawn’ convincingly surpassed ‘Eclipse’ by 47% and 142%, respectively. In digital formats ‘Breaking Dawn’ surpassed ‘Eclipse’ by 47%, converting approximately 50,000 purchases. In VOD format, ‘Breaking Dawn’ convincingly surpassed ‘Eclipse’ by a whopping 142%, translating to approximately 80,000 On Demand purchases.
