Cox has announced an economy television service package called “TV Economy” that costs only $34.99 a month. On top of basic programming, the package includes 20 channels from the expanded basic package such as Discovery Channel, CNN and Comedy Central. Unfortunately ESPN and regional sports networks are not included in the SP. And, if you’re looking to get a deal on HD service this one is not for you, as you’ll need to start with Cox’s Advanced TV package. Cox is first rolling out the SP in parts of New England, Louisiana, Virginia and San Diego. The company is currently offering TV Economy at $24.99 for 6 months to new subscribers.
