AT&T U-verse customers who are hockey fans might not have NHL Network when the regular season starts on Oct. 6, after the two companies were unable to reach an agreement. AT&T says they were unable to reach a “fair, long-term deal” with the network which lead them to pull the plug last Saturday, Oct. 1.
Three matches are scheduled for this coming Thursday, featuring current Stanley Cup holders Boston Bruins vs. the Philadelphia Flyers. Also on Thursday, Montreal faces Toronto, and Pittsburgh plays Vancouver. (See details below for times and networks.)
AT&T advices U-verse customers they can still watch hockey games on NBC, Versus and local sports networks, which combined will offer over 100 hockey games this season.
AT&T customers might want to check out the website att.com/fighting4you which the company set up to explain the loss of NHL Network. But, the website doesn’t really offer any resources or say much more than “We’re fighting for you.”
