The new 2013 Lexus GS 350 will be available with a factory installed HD Radio system, which also incorporates the iTunes tagging feature. The G5 350 is the first Lexus to announce HD Radio technology in their vehicles. HD Radio is already available factory-installed on 19 other car brands including Audi, Toyota, Volvo, Lincoln, and Ford. According to iBiquity, there are over 2,000 AM and FM stations broadcasting with HD Radio Technology in the US.
HD Radio is a trademark owned by iBiquity Digital Corporation. The “HD” in the trademark is sometimes associated with HD television, but really the only thing it has in common with HDTV is the ability to transmit 5.1 channel surround sound.
