Zune HD gets new & updated apps

Zune HD owners can download nine new apps and five updates to current apps for the portable media player. Although Microsoft has discontinued the Zune HD in favor of Windows Phone 7, the player is still available to purchase and the apps may even be transferable to WP7 phones — although no promises were made. The Zune 30GB model was first launched in 2006 and Zune HD 16 and 32GB models in 2009.

New apps include:

• Slider Puzzle
• Splatter Bug
• Trash Throw
• Tug-O-War
• Vine Climb

Apps with updates include:

• Echoes
• Email
• Penalty! Flick Soccer
• Shuffle by Album
• Zune Reader
