Customers of Amazon’s Prime monthly subscription plan will soon be able to stream content from CBS Corp. after a multi-year agreement was made between the two parties. The deal includes around 2,000 television episodes of shows like “Numb3rs,” “Medium,” “Frasier” and all “Star Trek” series episodes, providing Amazon some leverage against leading streaming provider Netflix (who, coincidentally, just added episodes from all Star Trek television series this month).
Amazon’s Prime membership costs $79 per year and includes free 2-day shipping, 1-day shipping for $3.99 per item, and with the new CBS deal unlimited streaming of approximately 8,000 movies and TV shows.
