‘The Office’ Season Seven announced for Blu-ray/DVD

Season Seven of “The Office” has been announced for Blu-ray and DVD release. All 24 episodes of the season are included as well as featurettes, extended episodes, blooper reel, commentaries, and over 100 minutes of deleted scenes (60 minutes of those scenes have never before shown). What’s an interesting twist, those who buy the Blu-ray version and have an internet-connected BD player will be able to watch upcoming Season Eight episodes of the “The Office” the day after they air. The episodes will even be available in HD if you have enough bandwidth.

The Blu-ray Discs discs are formatted at 1.78:1 aspect ratio with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1. The DVDs are formatted in Anamorphic Widescreen (1.78:1) with Dolby Digital 5.1 for audio.

“The Office” Season Seven will hit shelves on September 6, 2011. The season marks Steve Carell’s last appearance on the show which started in 2005 (based on the BBC series starting in 2001).
