Dish Network to offer 99 cent movies in HD

For the July 4th weekend Dish Network will offer five movies for 99 cents each via their DISH Cinema channel. The movies are no slouches either. The lineup includes the 2011 films “Sucker Punch,” “Battle: Los Angeles,” “Hall Pass,” and “Just Go With It,” as well as last year’s 10-time Oscar nominated film “True Grit.” (How a film gets nominated for ten Oscars and doesn’t take home at least one is mystery — but a discussion for another time.)

The five titles will be available starting July 1 through July 7 in both standard and high definition. You can rent the movies (which Dish boasts are available a month before Netflix or Redbox offers them) by tuning into channels 501 – 558 or at

You have to be a Dish customer to get the 99 cent rental deal.
