Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1 hits shelves on Blu-ray & DVD

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1 has hit the shelves in both DVD and Blu-ray disc formats. The first of the two-part finale to the Harry Potter franchise was directed by David Yates and stars Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson. The movie can be purchased in several editions including three disc Blu-ray/DVD/Digital Copy, single-disc Blu-ray, single-disc DVD, and single-disc DVD with Dobby Bookend (see photo below).

Time Warner Cable queues up free Turner Classic Movies

Killzone3: Steel Rain Map Pack addon available for download

Sony has uploaded the Killzone3: Steel Rain Map Pack add-on for PlayStation 3. The add-on contains two new multiplayer battles from developer Guerrilla Games. PlayStation Plus subscribers can get the add-on free, while others will have to pay $4.99 to download. Killzone3: Steel Rain Map Pack is rated M for blood and gore, intense violence and strong language.

On Blu-ray this week: The Incredibles, Cars, Harry Potter Deathly Hallows

It's a week dominated by animated films with Disney/Pixar's The Incredibles getting a full blown release in a four disc edition with Blu-ray, DVD, and digital copies. Cars, previously released on Blu-ray in '07 and as a Combo Pack with DVD in '09, is now available as a two-disc Blu-ray/DVD Combo (in Blu-ray packaging) with plenty of extras and deleted scenes.

Friday Night Lights begins 5th season
