Verizon launches On Demand Anime Network on FiOS

Verizon has launched the Anime Network for customers with FiOS TV subscriptions. The network will add new content every week, queuing up at least 45 hours of original programming every month. You can find the new network under the Premium Channels category in the On Demand section of your FiOS guide. The titles will indicate they are free but you’ll need a subscription which costs $6.99 per month.

Popular anime titles on the Anime Network include “High School of the Dead,” “Samurai Girls,” “Xam’d,” “Canaan,” “Blue Drop,” “E’s Otherwise,” “Kino’s Journey,” “Glass Mask,” “Maria Holic” and “Legends of the Dark King.”

“We always look for niche programming that will appeal to our FiOS TV customers, and the addition of the Anime Network will certainly help expand our VOD lineup,” said Terry Denson, vice president of content strategy and acquisition for Verizon.

“Anime Network is thrilled to bring our special brand of entertainment to the Verizon FiOS TV experience, giving our fans a chance to catch their favorite Anime Network shows on demand,” said Stacy Dodson, vice president of the Anime Network.
