Time Warner Cable to add ESPN 3D & ESPN Deportes HD

Time Warner Cable’s new long term deal with Disney/ABC and ESPN will bring two new sports networks to TWC’s HD channel lineup. ESPN 3D will be added to Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks’ hi-def lineup. And, Spanish language ESPN Deportes HD will also be added to TMC’s larger markets.

A new service, ESPN Goal Line (called a super-highlight channel) will be available to Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks sports tier subscribers starting September 4. The channel will air once a week and focus on NCAA highlights. When the basketball season starts, a similar channel called ESPN Buzzer Beater will launch.

Along with the linear channels, a Time Warner Cable/ESPN Deportes co-branded Spanish language sports website will be launched in Los Angeles.
