Partnerships with Warner Bros/New Line, Fox, Universal, Summit, Lionsgate, Sony, Paramount and MGM allow Comcast to offer the movies on the same day DVDs are released. Comcast says its biggest on-demand opening so far was for the movie Twilight, and that 80 percent of their top 10 new releases were available on VOD day-and-date with the DVD.

Other blockbusters movies this month include Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra and Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs.
Comcast’s video-on-demand library consists of 17,000 titles, with 2,600 offered in high-definition. New releases can be found on Channel 1 under “Movies & Events” followed by “Just In.”
