Epson announces new affordable HD projector

Epson’s PowerLite Home Cinema 705HD is an HD projector with an affordable price tag. The 720p will retail for approximately $749, and boasts 2,500 lumens of light using 3LCD technology.

The PowerLite 705HD is configured with four pre-set color modes for varying lighting environments, and four-preset modes optimized for video.

Connections include HDMI, Component Video, S-Video and USB. The lamp is a 200watt Epson E-TORL which increases light output for bigger screens while using less energy for up to 5,000 hours.

The new PowerLite Home Cinema 705HD will ship in October from nationwide retailers. We’ll post photos as soon as they are available.
