Verizon to add more high-definition VOD

Verizon has announced plans to add more high-definition on-demand content to add to their 1400 available HD titles available every month. Premium channels HBO and Cinemax will each provide 150 hours of VOD content.

Verizon will also expand its FiOS TV Movie Package by adding on-demand HD content from The Movie Channel, Starz, and Encore.

No exact date was given, however the company expects to launch the new programming this Fall. Subscribers to the premium channels will get the on-demand content at no extra charge.
