‘The Grinch’ on Blu-ray Oct. 13

“How the Grinch Stole Christmas” (2000) is set to hit the streets Oct. 13 just in time for X-mas, err, I mean, Halloween. The Jim Carrey blockbuster from Universal Studios Home Entertainment, will finally be in hi-def and will feature plenty of extras.

Among the extras included are deleted scenes, outtakes, “Wholiday Recipes”, visual effects explanations and a digital copy of the film. (Yes, you can put it on your iPod.)

Of course BD-Live with My Scenes and the usual director commentaries will also be part of the Blu-ray disc.

The film will be formatted on a BD-25 with an aspect ratio of 1.85:1. Audio formats include DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 and DVS Dolby Digital 2.0.

Along with Carrey, “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” also stars Taylor Momsen, Jeffrey Tambor, Molly Shannon, and Anthony Hopkins.

Total run time of the film is 1 hour and 45 minutes.
